基德被问及新进攻体系中最难落实的部分时表示：最难的是理解场上的空间，以及互相建立信任。要明白当你突入禁区时，借助战术跑动必然会出现空位队友。对于没跑过这个体系的球员，我们队里有几名球员曾和杰伊（特里亚诺）共事过。我们现在获得了大量绝对空位出手机会，只是没能投进。如果这些球能打进，场面会截然不同，球队气势也会不一样，防守端的能量也会提升。这场球虽然投篮手感不佳，但球队始终保持着高水平的防守，这是一场考验球队气质的比赛。
Jason Kidd when asked what is the hardest part of the new offense to implement: “Just understanding the spacing, and then just the trust. Understanding that someone’s going to be open when you touch the paint just because of the movement. For everyone who has not run this, just understanding that we have a couple guys who have played with Jay (Triano)…We’re getting a lot of wide-open shots, they just aren’t going down. If they can go down, I think it looks a little different. The vibe is definitely different and the energy picks up on the defensive end. This was a big character game that the ball wasn’t going for us, and we continued to play defense at a high level.”
